Best Gift Ideas For 14 Year Old Boys

As a 14 year old boy, there are many things that I would like for a gift, so, to help those of you gift shopping for teens my age, I have compiled a list of things that I would enjoy and why these gifts would be a good gift idea for a teen.
AirPods Are the Best Teen Gift
AirPods are a great gift for any teen that enjoys watching videos, shows, listening to music, or really anything without the hassle of the wire. They are convenient and aesthetically pleasing all around.
The case is very sleek and is very satisfying to open and close/fidget with. The actual AirPods themselves have great sound quality and they have the ability to skip songs with the tap of your finger on the earbud.
Although they are a bit on the pricey side at around $160-$200 (with or without accessories) they are well worth it because regular wired headphones are easily breakable in my experience.
They can easily get wet by being dangled over water, and can be torn and ripped apart by many things.
Also, don’t even get me started on how many times I’ve had to untangle headphones that I kept in my pocket all day.

Give Hoodies To A Teen!
You can never go wrong with a good hoodie for a teen gift!
Unlike many other gifts such as money and food and what not, hoodies can last multiple years and sometimes even a lifetime if taken care of right.
If you want to get a hoodie that he will like, research what brands and/or franchises would like on a hoodie.
It’s important to know what the person you’re buying the hoodie for likes. For example, what colors they like, or if they like a specific franchise – what character and color they would like to go with said character.
For example, I love Star Wars and specifically Boba Fett, and I have multiple Star Wars hoodies that are comfortable and that I will keep for a long time.
A good hoodie is either big for comfort or smaller but still comfortable but more for looking good. Depending on the brand, the hoodie can cost $30-$400, but only if you’re looking into designer brands.
Games
Video games are an ever growing entertainment for the youth of today. Around October every year is when games release, right in time for the holiday season.
Many games are coming out this year that are gonna be highly anticipated. I play on xbox, so I’m excited for the new Halo game, but thats coming out next year. I’m excited for Jedi Fallen Order, a story driven Star Wars game, Doom Eternal, a game of killing (which isn’t for everyone) and many others.
Games are a great gift idea and go hand in hand to the next gift.
Consoles
Consoles are a great gift idea for a teen who loves to game but doesn’t have a console yet.
If you’re looking for a console to buy for a little bit less than usual, I’d go during Black Friday in store or offline if you’d rather not deal with the crowds.
Before buying your child or grand child a console first find out how many of their friends have that same console or what games they would like to play, because there are console specific games.
The switch, for example, has the most exclusives such as Super Mario Bros and Smash Bros, that many kids really like and should be considered as well.
Controller(s) Are The Perfect Gift Idea For Teen Boys
Game controllers are another gift idea! These are good for your kid if they play games already and like to accessorize their gaming experience.
Controllers are something that they’ll use almost every day and will see and remember. You could be WAY COOL and create a customized controller. You can specifically customize one for what they like such as color, grip, and even camo or design pattern.
For example, I love the New York Giants, so I’ve asked for a specialized controller with a New York Giants logo on it.
Clothes & Shoes
All types of clothes should be considered.
First of all, find out what the person you are getting a gift for needs. Like, if they need socks, hoodies, or shoes, ask what they want and look for that specific item.
Graphic tees with logos of sports teams or pop culture logos are good.
Shoes and pants are good too, especially if they go with other certain clothing items the teen already has.
Shoes can get expensive, so if your kid asks for a certain pair of shoes, be on the prowl for a sale on the website or stores that sell them.
Jerseys are also a great gift for kids or teens that like a specific team, and Christmas is a great time to get one because they’re expensive and can count for multiple gifts.
You need to know what player is their favorite before you buy it.
Sometimes jerseys of players who left to another franchise are on sale such as Odell Beckham Jr.’s Giants jersey. It’s almost half off and even in other forms and colors.
Foam Roller or Weights
This is the time we teens like to gain muscle.
You can start small, with bands for under $10!! And they work any where like in their room, or like me, in the garage.
Or, you could get hand weights, kettle bells, or weighted medicine balls.
These make great gifts for teen boys and are not very expensive.
I have all of these in my home gym, and I workout with my friends when they come over and by myself when I have time. It’s great to have these workout items at home!

Subscriptions
There are a lot of subscriptions that are great for teens and adults alike.
There are many services that are great for everyday life such as Spotify premium and Netflix, that just make things easier.
Spotify premium is great for road trips because you can download all your music to listen to offline. It also gets rid of all ads and only costs $9.99/month with your first 3 months for only $0.99. (spotify is not an affiliate link…)
You can also get gaming subscriptions that give you access to as many games as you can think of. This subscription is called Xbox Game Pass that costs $9.99/month or $14.99/month for Xbox Game Pass on Xbox and PC that includes gold.
You can also get subscriptions for things like shaving.
Dollar shave club (this is NOT an affiliate link) has a subscription that sends you monthly body care products such as shaving cream, razors, shampoo, and other skin and body care products. Many teen boys, like me, want these products but don’t always know how to ask, because sometimes it’s embarrassing. So, if it shows up as a gift, it’s cool.
The starter kit is only $5 and after that you can get other kits for $5/each.
Gift Cards & Money Make Great Gift Ideas
You can’t go wrong with gift cards.
What’s great is that you can get them for virtually anything.
This gift also goes hand in hand with subscriptions.
You can get gift cards for subscriptions, games, restaurants, amusements parks, and stores.
And if the person that you’re getting a gift for doesn’t know what they want, you could just give them money.
Money can buy anything, and with the proper amount, money can be the perfect gift for anybody.
